History1901At the present Ginza, Tokyo, founder Gohei Moritani and his company starts business with the purpose of promoting selected, quality Japan-made machinery.1914As its rst overseas operation, the Company inaugurates Taiwan Representative Ofce (now Moritani Taiwan Co., Ltd.) with a view to expanding business overseas.1918Reorganizes itself as a joint-stock company, with Gohei Moritani as rst president.Sets up U.S.A. Representative Ofce (now Moritani America, Inc.)1928Relocates head ofce to its present address at Yaesu, Tokyo, with the relocation signaling a fully restructured sales operation and a renewed determination for a leap forward based on an entrepreneurial harbinger spirit.1976Sets up West Germany Representative Ofce (now Moritani GmbH) at Düsseldorf.1999Head Ofce certied to ISO 14001.2002Inaugurates Moritani Shanghai Co., Ltd.2004Sets up Singapore Representative Ofce (now Moritani Singapore Pte. Ltd.)2005ISO 14001 certication expanded to cover Osaka Branch.2006Sets up Moritani Flowlab (a research lab) at Tsukuba, Ibaraki Pref.2007ISO 14001 certication expanded to cover Nagoya Branch.New entity, K.K.
